Delete your account

What gets deleted

• Your login — name, email address, mobile number and password.
• Your profile and notification settings.
• Devices registered for push notifications.
• Photographs and property descriptions you uploaded, where no other account shares the property.
• Activity records tied to you personally, such as sign-in history.

What we have to keep

Some records cannot be deleted on request, because we are required by law to hold them. We keep only these, and only for as long as the law requires:

• Invoices, payments and books of account — kept for 8 financial years, as required of every Indian company. A tax invoice is a statutory record of a transaction, not something we chose to keep.
• Booking records belonging to a hotel or villa — a reservation is the property's business record as well as yours. Your personal details are removed from it; the booking itself stays with the property.
• Records needed for a legal claim, fraud prevention or a regulator — kept only where there is an active reason, and deleted when it ends.
• Backups — these roll off on their own within about 35 days. We do not restore deleted accounts from them.

How long it takes

We confirm that you control the account, then delete it within 30 days of that confirmation. Deletion is permanent — the account cannot be restored, and signing up again creates a new one.

If you only want some data removed

You do not have to delete the whole account to have specific data removed, or to correct something that is wrong. Use the form above and say what you want removed, or write to privacy@hotelesy.com.
